The problem

Every provider has its own way of calling a model: formats, errors, pricing. A team that wants to compare two models ends up writing two integrations, then a third, then a workaround layer to maintain them all.

The result is predictable: models are no longer changed by choice, but by constraint. And the bill arrives at the end of the month without saying which screen, customer or feature cost what.

Why it is hard

What this produces:

  • duplicated integrations, each with its own flaws;
  • de facto dependence on the first provider chosen;
  • costs that stay invisible until the invoice;
  • and no honest comparison of quality, speed and price.

What we are building

One contract to call any model, with routing that chooses according to expected capability, cost and latency. The same code keeps working when the model changes.

Every call reports its cost. A team can compare, decide, and roll back without rewriting its product.

What changes

  • compare before committing, not after;
  • switch models in hours instead of weeks;
  • an invoice that explains every euro.

What comes next

This is being built at Grantity R&D, the lab. The goal is simple: choosing a model becomes a product decision again, not an engineering project.
