The problem

A small company knows today’s cash position, rarely the one six weeks out. Payments arrive late, tax falls on another date, and one large customer paying late changes everything.

The spreadsheet is not the problem: it cannot project. It shows neither scenarios, nor the effect of a delay, nor the exact date the account turns red.

Why it is hard

What it produces:

  • cash gaps discovered too late;
  • decisions made without a scenario;
  • hours of data entry and reconciliation;
  • and an accountant relationship moving blind.

What we are building

A forecast that starts from history, learns the rhythms and projects the coming weeks. You can simulate a delay, a hire, a price increase, and see the effect immediately.

Tax and due dates are part of the model, not a side table.

What changes

  • see the gap before it happens;
  • decide with numbers, not intuition;
  • share one reading with your accountant.

What comes next

This is being built at Grantity R&D, the lab. The topic is not glamorous; it is often what decides whether a company makes it through the month.
