The problem
A centralised vault protects well, as long as the operator is flawless and you do not forget your master password. The day either fails, everything stops: no access to your accounts, your family, your company.
Support-based recovery solves that problem by creating the next one: someone else can open your vault. And inheritance, a departure or an emergency cannot be handled with a form.
Why it is hard
What it costs:
- one lost master password, and dozens of unreachable accounts;
- total trust placed in an operator;
- no way to pass on access without giving it today;
- and backups that become a target themselves.
What we are building
A vault encrypted end to end, where only the owner can read the content. Recovery relies on trusted people, not on a support desk.
You can prepare a transfer, name trusted people, set rules, and take back control without a backdoor.
What changes
- losing a device no longer means losing everything;
- no operator can open the vault;
- passing it on is prepared, not endured.
What comes next
This is being built at Grantity R&D, the lab. The security that matters is the one that still holds when everything else has failed.
